Being a florist means that inevitably you will be super busy the week of Valentine's Day. Before becoming a florist, I never thought too much of the holiday, but now my perception has totally changed. I know that we should all show our loved ones how we feel everyday, but like most, this can fall by the wayside with so many day to day responsibilities. Therefore, I absolutely love it when I have a past client contact me asking for an arrangement for their wife. Despite the fact that I only do event florals, I love and make a point to support my past clients when they like to surprise their wives with replicas of their wedding bouquet, arrangement, or even a completely new design. As one client put it, "I want to show her how special she is to me today just like the day we got married." Oh, how that melted my heart. So, with this belated post, I would like to say Happy Valentine's Day to all of my past and future clients. Below is a replica arrangement I did for a husband who was cooking dinner for his wife and wanted something like the centerpiece from their wedding to decorate the table.
Yesterday marked the end of football season with the questionable call by Pete Carroll. Today is the first day that I have my husband back 100%, he is off to start on his honey do list that has been accumulating for the last few months. To all my fellow football widows, it's our time!
